Well it makes me the more curious how many of those Motorstorm owners will buy the sequel.

I still dont own it, and wont do so untill Home trophies see the light of day.

If they have a lot more to do, then I may buy it. It's fun for it's aggressive driving and crashes, but there wasn't anything other than that (at least until they added a time trial mode).

Already congratulated Nintendo multiple times, it's not that hard.

Good point! Let's make a thread about how good the bundled game Wii Sports is selling.  Unexpected success!

Stop spamming in this thread or you'll get a one day ban.

That said, I'd love to see Resistance, Creed, and Call of Duty to get to 3 million themselves!

You don't have to buy a Motorstorm bundle, Wii Sports is bundled with every Wii in Europe and the US, but still the game performed remarkably on the Japanese market. Wii Sports bundles paved the way for Wii Play's success.

MikeB,

I agree that it's a successful introduction of a new IP. The bigger question still remains... what will people do when a sequel arrives? Will they be impressed enough by the original to buy the next installment, or will they be unimpressed by the first and decide to skip the next?

I've played the game at a friend's house, and it was fun for a while, but it didn't seem to have a lot of longevity. If Sony/Evolution really want to make this IP last, then they need to really pump up MotorStorm 2... provide a lot of tracks, new vehicles, etc., and then market it like crazy. That seems to be what catches the attention of the really avid racing fans out there.

Sony/Evolutions have their feet in the door, let's see what they do with the opportunity...

congratulations, i have the game (got it bunded:P ) i like it but its not my genre.
