What?  I don't get what you're trying to say.

Nobody would say they are 100% certain about the future of a console. It goes without saying, any prediction is an educated (or uneducated ) guess.

But that's the thing; people DO talk about it like they know for sure.  More people than I can count have said, "The Wii U IS a flop.  FACT."  They think they can look at the current situation only a year into its life and know with certainty about its fate.  Theorizing is one thing, but too many people have this attitude.  They're all little Pachters, they have absolutely no ability to look at the future and imagine a scenario that might change things.
