Forums - Nintendo - 2004 – Nintendo Is Doomed

Its pretty obvious that no company can win all the time... Nintendo won virtually every handheld generation from the GBA all the way to the 3ds as well as Nes, Snes, n64 and the wii so they are obviously not perfect but same goes for every other company.. Look at MS with Millenium, Vista and 8... Look at Sony with their TV's, phones and etc as well as the Vita...

It is rather quite interesting how much more doomed Nintendo is compared to every other company according to gamers... I guess people just love to hate Nintendo

Reggie was so young and innocent back then. Still doomed though.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

So, wii U would work better and win the gen if ps4/wiiU/x1 were handhelds?

Nintendo is always doomed

And that's why every single person who says the Wii U is already doomed doesn't know crap. Yeah, it's doing terribly right now. It might do terribly for years. But who's to say Nintendo won't hit on something big in say, 2016 and sell fifty million units? Even more? Fact of the matter is, we don't know the future, and everything we can say is just a guess. Especially when you're dealing with Nintendo, which is famous for big fat surprises.

I applaud you, OP.

“Doesn’t matter what Nintendo’s doing to innovate. People want PS2 graphics. Said and done.”

A lot of people have the same attitude towards videogame companies like sport/football fans towards their team of choice... Considering that Sony was the marketleader in two consecutive generations while Nintendo had seen considerable declines. It is no surprise that there had been constant Nintendo bashing in the GC but especially during the whole Wii generation from start to finish. Even 3DS has been treated the same way, despite positive fan reception in its unveil.

Another thing that might have a certain influence is, that the internet boom practically started while Playstation was synonymous with consoles (1994-2006) and Sony/Playstation at its all time high, while Nintendos consoles at the all time low. A lot of videogame weppages were started by Playstation fans (GAF) and due to the popularity of the system and the fact of mostly weak competition in the internet in most cases those weppages had the time and space to be established as popular ones. That some of those have a certain bias is undeniable, one of the most obvious examples is the different treatment of 3DS and PSV.

the nintendo doom and hate, thank god the world is not only ign or the internet forums.
