I am also considering Thief, I liked the first one a lot, but I am not sure about this revival, my game for Feb is DKC: TF and I am taking the wait and see approach for Thief, if it is good I will add it to my purchases of march. It is a first person (no shooter) game, so I don't know if you don't like the perspective (some people get motion sickness), or the shooting part of the FPS genre, my suggestion is to wait on that one it could be great, just average or just plain awful, the gameplay videos are scarce but the press has mentioned that it has improved over the months.

Infamous in March, MLB the show in April (i usually buy one MLB and one NHL game a gen) are what I bought my Ps4 for. Played through Knack and would actually reccommend it for two player coop if you have someone to play with (i bought a controller, knack and ps4 for $450 with tax so i suppose it might be easier for me to reccommend)

I would have recommended Resogun, Tomb Raider, and Assassin's Creed IV as the three best games for someone not into FPS shooters. Resogun because every gamer should play and enjoy that, and the others because you like action/adventure games that Naughty Dog is well known for (enough for you to buy a console).

If you have a PS+ subscription, then don't worry about buying any more games until some new game that appeals to you comes out. In meantime you can play Resogun and then you can also try out the F2P games available on PS4 like DC Universe Online and Warframe.

Also, keep an eye on additional PS+ free games each month. For instance Feb will have Outlast which is a survival horror game without any combat... basically you have to run and hide to survive.

I don't watch the NBA, but NBA 2K14 is a lot of fun.  Its the deepest sports game I've ever played.
