You're are technically right. From a buisness perspective MS does a better job at picking what games they make and turning there games into money. But what I'm saying is that I don't agree with the MS stategy of just taking what works and milking it until it outlives it's usefulness.
Look at Halo, just because they still sell well doesn't mean that MS isn't going to run the series into the ground. It just means that the series still has life left. Another series to look at is Gears. Instead of letting those series end when the developers that started them decided it was time to move on, MS bought them and stuck two other devs with making more Halo and Gears games becase they cold make the most money off of them. Two devs who could have instead been making something new and fresh for the MS fanbase.
The way MS does things with it's exclusives is better for MS, but not for gamers.
P.S. Sony has a Gran Turismo movie coming out. We've known about this for some time.

You are wrong again. Who are you to say what MS does is wrong for gamers? If it was wrong for gamers, 10 million people would not spend their money on these games. As a hardcore Halo fan (someone who even read the books) I would be pissed if MS decided to let the series just die, because "it would be better for the gamer". No, it would not be better for the gamer or the fanbase.
As long as the quality is fine, they shall produce as many Halos as they possibly can.
People are hyped for Uncharted 4 already and it is the 5th Uncharted in 7 or 8 years. And the hype is justified. because the other Uncharted games were well done.
All this "MS is milking their franchises" is stupid, because the fans, the ones actually buying the games and not some internet trolls who never wanted to buy a Xbox in the first place, vote with their money and 10 million + sales is pretty damn impressive. And it would not sell that much if those games did not deliver exactly what the audience is asking for.
That is where the double standards come into play. A game that flopped soooooo bad like PSABR was called a "fan-service", a game 10 million+ people enjoy and love should be killed or at least reduced, because it is milking the franchise. This doesn't make any sense.

But what about the 70 odd million people who have a 360 and DON'T buy the Halo games? You're a big Halo fan so you want as many Halo games as possible but what about other people?
As far as quality goes look at Spartan Assault, or better yet lets go back to Gears. Judgement is a mediocre game, it's certainly nowhere near the other games in the series as far as quality goes. But here MS are having just bought the franchise from Epic and are going to waste another studio on a series that is pretty well out of steam.
You're making this too much about Halo. Halo is a great series and it deserves all of the success it has had. What I'm saying is that don't you think it's a bit of a diservice to the people who have an Xbox (360 or One) that they mostly just release games from the same couple of franchises and then anytime they do add a new game it's normally just another shooter?
