Neku is from a very popular cult classic game (no that's not an oxymoron) called The World Ends With You. The popularity of the characters was so great they were added to Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance EVEN THOUGH they aren't Final Fantasy or Disney characters. That was a first for the series.

Besides. Given all the characters we've had so far, this wouldn't be an odd inclusion at all.

Saw Shulk on there, so I'm glad he got votes. Whether this is just some random fan vote or not, I do believe Shulk is an extreme possibility. So if he's in Smash 4, I'll be very happy! Also glad to see Chrom. Now just add a Tales character! Cress Albane? Yes, please! Any Tales character would do, really. Have a Tales character and I will be greatly satisfied! :D

What other characters are you thinking of? 

I'd like to see a new Metroid character, but it's hard because not many fit in. Ridley is probably too big, Dark Samus is too much like regular Samus and a Space Pirate might be too normal. 

Oh, and even though I never played a DKC game, K. Rool would be a welcome addition as well. 

For some reason I'm really glad Little Mac is in even though I never played a Punch-Out game. And I always play as Kirby in Brawl even though I've never played a Kirby game as well(though I'll probably get Kirby Triple Deluxe when it comes out). 

Well if we wanted to go for different, we could play up Dark Samus' Phazon powers, really make it different from Samus.

Metroid is  the only big nintendo franchise that doesn't have anybody qualified to be playable in SSB (aside from Samus/ZZS).

Ridley is big but they can downsize him. He is the only one i see that should be playable cuz other metroid characters are unimportant (i mean playable characters such as those in metroid hunters or metroid other m).

That said there are lots of characters that can be added if the roster was lets say... 75.

Too many to pick off the top of my head but... (the list below does not mean im saying they are my top 10 realistic choices, they are characters that can be in if the roster was massive!)

Pls note that characters with * next to there name means i think they are likely to get in this game (in other words top 10)

Mario Franchise= Bowser Jr+Toad+Waluigi (i cant stand this guy)+Petey Pirahna+Paper Mario

DK Franchise= *Dixie Kong+Cranky Kong+King K Rool

Kirby Franchise= Bandana Dee+Prince Fluff(guy from epic yarn)+Mogalor

Pokemon Franchise= Im not even going to go there but i can safely say 10+ newcomers (most realistic imo Zoroak+Blaziken and especially *Mewtwo)

Zelda Franchise=  Griham+Vaati+Midna(wolf link i suppose)+Alt Link (lets say young link but from MM)

Kid Icarus Franchise= *Palutena+Magnus+Medusa

Franchises that can be represented by one character= *Saki+*Isaac+*Mii's+Chibi Robo+Dillon+Sukapon(wat ever this guy name is lol)

Those are just the top of my head. but there are many more

For newcomers, how about...
1. Shulk (Xenoblade Chronicles) or the protagonist from "X"
2. Bayonetta (Bayonetta 2)
3. Wonder Red (The Wonderful 101)
4. Krystal (Star Fox Series)
5. Isaac (Golden Sun Series)

I think Rayman would be better than most of those honestly. :p 

Midna and Wolf link wouldn't make much sense to me considering TP is such an old game(unless they made a remake). Don't know who Griham is even though I played lot's of Zelda games. Don't know Vaati either, is he from MM?(only console Zelda I haven't played). 

I agree with K. Rool, he seems cool. I think Cranky Kong would be better suited as a trophy where he mocks your playing style. Come'on that would be hilarious!. :p 

A Pokémon from the new generation should be added though(or through the 3 starters with the Pokémon trainer character). Aegislash would be my favorite. You can make a very unique character out of his special ability. 

Edit: I would love Midna and Wolf Link though, even if it doesn't make sense. Could again be a very unique character and I love Midna. But they should've been in Brawl if you ask me.

Your first statement is true (rayman would be better) and so would bomberman/Geno but we are talking realistic characters not better ones. Wat i mean is the characters i listed are popular and well known and most of all are all nintendo characters. Sonic+Megaman might be third party but Sonic has been with nintendo alot since the fall of sega (+he was the most requested character of SSBB) and for megaman, he dominated the NES era a made a name for himself. Snake only in cuz his developer+Sakarai are good friends and he begged him.

I personally want Bandana Dee+Geno+Bomberman but i kno it wont happen (Geno can but only if they get the rights to him or ask Square Enix
