Well, whatever it is; they need more games, and soon. The way it's looking now, the next few months will be even more barren than the first few months of last year, if that's even possible. That rumoured HD Pokémon game we've seen a short snippet of would do just fine, lol.

If anything, they ought to get their eShop and VC in order and just put as much stuff out there as possible. I honestly, for the life of me cannot understand why they're not releasing AAA VC games like crazy. VC is barren. They've got a few NES and SNES games out there, and that's it. Most aren't even very good, either.

Where are the N64 and GameCube VC games? I'm sure the likes of Mario 64, Mario Sunshine, F-Zero X & GX, Wave Race 64 & Blue Storm, Luigi's Mansion (the original), Pilotwings 64, Donkey Kong 64, Starfox Assault & Dinosaur Planet, Pikmin 1 & 2, 1080 Snowboarding & 1080 Avalanche, the Baten Kaitos games, Zelda 4S Adventures, Smash Bros. & SB Melee, the Mario Tennis & Golf games, the Paper Marios, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and tons more, would do excellent and keep a lot of people happy. Epecially if they'd upscale them to full HD and throw in off-screen play, save stats, and whatnot.

It can't imagine it would cost them that many resources, especially if they outsource it to smaller devs. Why not? What's the holdup? They may not have any Wii U games ready, but they do have -literally- thousands of acclaimed retro games they could put out there, easily.

3rd party games is what meant to fill gaps people. So go buy the ones that are already out and just MAYBE new ones will come if sales of their games improve.

That actually makes sense, they could create a disc with 4 games, and sell it at a reduced price (or bundled with a wiimote). That could be a march/april release a help to fill the gap.

Nintendo consoles will always have droughts. Just accept it and buy a different console to supplement your gaming needs if it bothers you a lot.

Remakes don't cost a lot and don't even take a year to develop(Wind Waker was made from scratch in a period of 6 months if I remember correctly). Plus they can farm those remakes out to third party studios. This in turn could improve their relationship with third party publishers. 

It would help make droughts like these more sufferable. 

There are many people out there who haven't played games like Majora's Mask. Plus with Luigi's Mansion they could add some fun multiplayer modes that utilize the gamepad. Nintendoland showed what the gamepad could do for a game like Luigi's Mansion. 

Its possible... I'm sure we will see a lot of HD remakes now that Nintendo made the leap.

Great idea there are many game that deserve your hard earned dollars. Do you guys bought Assassin's Creed IV already?, is at 30 U$ on amazon, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is the best version of an already great game, Batman: Arkham Origins may not be as good as Arkham City, but is still a very good game, also at a reduced price. Or go even to an older title, Mass Effect 3 may not be worth 60 U$, but it costs only 12 now.
