The real problem was the GB turning off, not the cables. We never had any issue with the cables o.O They were firmly attached to the handheld!
You couldn't screw with your party members in Dark Alliance as bad as in Four Swords :P

You played Dark Alliance wrong :D Using your partners body to hold back an army of monsters at a door while you used a bow through his beaten carcus to shoot them all to death... good times.
But yeah I had various different cables both the offical and unoffical. one time played this using 2 gamecubes, 1 with my GBA player as one of the GBA controllers connected to another screen was pretty awesome. I also played my copy of WarioWare twisted on this GC more than once... just to make use of the handle.

This is one where the Vita actually has almost a worse system than the 3ds, if you want to put another profile on your Vita you need to format the memory card first. Sure you could technically login to your american psn account, but you need to shell out another 40euros or so for another memory card if you want to swap back and forth.

Oh the Vita system on PSN is woeful too. But it's more workable than the 3DS. Tbh I'm more outraged at region lock on the cartridges. I want to play SMT4 :( I'm actually at the point where I'm contemplating importing a US 3DS for it as it's looking like Nintendo cba to release it in Europe.
Just takes me back to the 90s when games like Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy etc were deemed above meagre Europeans.
