Why did only the dinosuars die 64 million years ago? And what about the other animals? And how did evolution proceed?

Actually, the dinosaurs were not the only ones to go extinct 65 million years ago. The extinction event, which was a very large asteroid colliding into the Yucatan Peninsula, killed about 75% of all life on earth including all the dinosaurs and ended the geologic period called the Cretaceous. The asteroid collision sent up tons of dust and stuff into the atmosphere, blocking out the sun and preventing many plants from using photosynthesis, which caused a cascading effect further down the food chain. Most of the animal and plant groups survived, but many species were lost. For example, the dinosaurs were reptiles, but not all the reptiles became extinct, and so we still have reptiles today. Small shrew-like mammals survived and eventually evolved into all the types of mammals we see today. Mammals were able to thrive in the world without dinosaurs. The animals and plants that did survive gradually went on to take on the ecological roles of the plants and animals that had gone extinct, and over many millions of years balance was once again restored to the earth. The end.
But in fact, not all the dinosaurs died. There were some flying dinos that survived, and they became what we know of as birds.
Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Sooooo close... dinos were NOT reptiles. Its firmly known now that they are very much more similar to birds, and not just the flying dinos.

You omitted the part when the film Prometheus took place, replacing the dinos.
