Reading through the thread on gaf about this, many are saying they are 3 teams with a small team that helps with indies. If true then we are likely getting: new IP, new IP, and GOW(new mythology?). Or it could be 2 games in production with a smaller team that floats back and forth to help out and a small indie team.

new IP, new IP and GoW? that would be insane. even though i believe they should put the GoW franchise to rest.

seeing SSM having 240 employees kinda makes me sad, as PD still only has about 200 yet are Sony's most important dev team globaly and make the biggest games out of all sony's studios, yet people expect them to compete and have everything up to date and the same level of quality and quantity....sigh.....

Good news for SSM though, hopefully they have some new ip coming at us soon.

My favorite part of this article is reading (Although I was already fully aware) about how helpful of a studio they are. They are well known for helping other 1st party Sony devs but now they even bring in indies and help them as well.

Such a wonderful studio.

I dont get people saying "No more god of war"m Ascension never sold well because it was late in the gen, not that great and too soon. A new GOW on ps4, with some big improvements and new mythology could be amazing. Imagine a more open world GOW?

It would be crazy if thats what they were doing. I have my doubts, but we'll see. And I don't think GoW needs to be stopped. They just need to retire kratos. His story is beyond over at this point. New mythology and an improved combat system with something new and fresh would help.

The title is wrong and misleading, what is it today with these titles that make no sense?

The studio is expanding and the team is moving to another location. How this spell "bad" in OP's view, i'll never know!

It looks like some moderation is needed around here.
