Forums - Gaming Discussion - Can anyone think of an IP that was made better AFTER it was sold?

Nothing pertaining to Might & Magic got better from Ubisoft buying it off New World Computing's deathbed.

Only Dark Messiah of Might & Magic was a neat idea, and to some extent Clash of Heroes, however little they had to do with M&M. The new Heroes games and M&M X Legacy are not really improvements to their series in any sense of the word.

Another stinker that comes to mind it Frederick Reynal's Alone in the Dark. After he sold off the series, it gone from bad, to worse, to dreadful.

One could argue that Retro's doing a bang-up job with the new Donkey Kong Country games, but some may not like them any bit better than the original trilogy, and in any case there's been no 'sale' or 'acquisition' of the series taking place.

Can't think of something of the top of my head that got better from being sold.
