Forums - Sony - Why does nintendo get all the love?!? Let's dissect Vita's failures!

To add to Point C, make a revision that either ditches proprietary memory in favor of common SD cards, or allows both. That's a quicker and easier fix than adding call capabilities.

i can easily see these 2 become huge successes if managed correctly.

that's the key though, managed correctly. i can totally see Nintendo releasing something like this:

oh my, that last pic just about killed me!

but yes, i think nintendo probably also needs to join the mobile space.   not just smartphones,...  smartphones+.   everything you'd expect from a phone plus a competent gaming centric platform for games that don't suck.

And you finished talking about Nintendo. Nintendo getting all the love, again.

So I finished reading after the first paragraph because there won't be another PlayStation portable console.

you could skip to C).   that make still be relavant to you.

I joked, I read it all, I was just expecting purely Vita bashing thread, not how to turn around the faults it has. And I seriously think, damn I'm pretty sure that Vita ends the line of Sony handhelds, so doesn't really matter.

sorry to disappoint, i'm a lover not a hater.   you (or anyone else) can bash vita all you want here though, i never report anyone unless it's pure hate speech.

..and i agree.  vita will probably be the last handheld ever.   playstation now will get integrated into the xperia phone/tablets and that will be that.  but even on those platforms sony needs to try harder than they have with the vita.

Price: Who's idea was it to launch it a $250 with no games or a memory card included. Also why make the memory cards too expensive for anyone to afford if you want people to buy games digitally?

I disagree. The console is a great machine and 250€ for it would be like 120€ for a 3DS (hardware-wise only). But Vita is now at 170€ + 1 game and yet the sales are low. Price is definitely not the issue.

Talking about Vitas failures is so 2012, if you want to be part of the cool kids you need to jump on the Nintendo failure train. Or if you want to be ahead of the curve you can also start analyzing Sonys failures as a company, I can see this become really trendy in the next couple weeks. :D

Seriously though, I think alot of the Vitas' problems have already been analyzed pretty much to death in the past 2 years.

when does sony's financials release?   if they post another loss (especially after these massive ps4 numbers)...

It does appear to be making a profit overall considering digital margins and PS+ though. It's only a failure in market impact terms.

Prepare to be dissapointed. PS4 isn't making Sony any money at this point and probably won't until late 2014. They will post another loss and they will continue to refuse to sell off their T.V. division.

February 6th. Yeah we'll see, I'm not especially optimistic.
