I never played Jak and Daxter until the HD Collection and I got all the Power Cells without using Youtube. The game tells you how many items you've collected in each area, so if you missed one, it's simply just going back through until you find them all.

Played a few hours of the second one and thought it was pretty crappy. Didn't even try and play the third game.

I recently only just played the Jak and Daxter games on PS+ and the first one was superb, a proper platformer, I got them all, just a shame I couldn't find the last few precursor orbs to platinum the game.

I will add that Jak 2 and 3 were awful compared to the first game. The first was such a great traditional platformer, all the charm vanished from the sequels and I did not enjoy them at all. They were more racing than anything.

It's rather interesting to me how divided the series makes people.  Some will say Jak II was the best, others it was the worst game ever.  It's very interesting.

Im not going to pretend Jak 2&3 were better than original but I am surprised to see so many people flat out dislike them.

Jak 2 was better on ps3, or maybe I had become a better gamer. Jak 2 was frustrating on ps2, not fun to play and totally different from the first one I loved. I didn't finish 2 on ps2, finished 2 and 3 on ps3. I still don't think they can come close to the experience of the first one.

The first one was a great open world 3D platformer, while the rest of the series changed it to more of a hub based design. By the 3rd one it seemed the development team wasn't into platforming at all anymore. Too many annoying turret sections and vehicle sections.

Frontier on the PSP was also a solid game. Loved the aerial combat sections too. More Jak & Daxter please.............

Compared to the first they were. Jak 1 is superb, a real platformer, up there with the best of them. Then suddenly in number 2 I'm flying around in a jet bike being bored in an open map, not platforming at all, no proper collectables or anything. #3 was worse as it was nigh on all racing. Oh and guns, they had guns. If I wanted Ratchet and Clank i'd be playing that.
