Just been to the mall and there were no PS4's there.
The drought should end my march though. It was the same with the PS2.
Knew it was a fallen thread before clicking it. more click bait, making a tyhread based on 1-2 stores and proclaiming it mirrors WW.

?? Excuse for what? It's winning in every territory.
Gamestop website shows stock right down the street from my house.

Id wager they already did quite a bit of stockpilling by now, if Sony can manufacture 1.2-1.5 mil units per month as rumors indicate they havent sold everythign they manufactured since they started assembling PS4s if you do the math, so I believe there are some units stored for the Japanese launch already. |
The rumours are that they started making PS4s on September 1st and can make about 1.4-1.5m per month. They sold 4.2m PS4s by the end of the year, indicating about 1.5m made per month. The things is, they were airlifiing shipments to get more in before Christmas, which will mean that there are fewer PS4s avaliable this month as they will have gone back to slower shipping, hence there have been lower sales.
I just don't think the stock situation is going to improve until the end of Feb at the earliest given that I don't think that Japanese sales are going to stay too high for that long
You can just feel the OP hoping and praying that the PS4 is no longer in crazy demand.
More anectodal...
13 hours ago Amazon.uk had in stock the Standard consoles with OVER 999 units left.

Right now? SOLD OUT.
In less than one hour they sold 1000 units... crazy, no? Now try to guess how much they sold in the others 12 hours
7 year gap between PS3 to PS4.
Much longer than the 5 to 6 year gaps between PS1 to PS2 and PS2 to PS3.
Please OP, why don't you just wait to see how things turn out. Almost everytime you make a thread like that it backfires on you.
Wait when the PS4 is really available for 1 to 2 weeks then you can start saying the shortage has ended...
It's starting to look like desperation from your side.
