Most people dropped the EA hate a while ago, and that has nothing to do with anything anything.

The general consensus on the Wii U's launch that it was a competitor to the PS3 and 360, not a next gen system. I'm starting to think Wii U fans are delusional, lmao.

Lol dropped EA hate... have you payed attention at all to the battlefield 4 launch, like at all? EA is about to win worst company in america another year in a row. Also no, the general consensus is still that Generations just signify in what years they launch, it has never been about power, like at all. It's actually a bit petty that it bothers you so much that Wii U is an 8th gen console that you have to rewrite facts and history just to make yourself feel better.

You can argue that it has 7th gen equivalent tech (still not entirely true), but it's not a 7th gen console.  It's an 8th gen console just like the PS4/XB1.  The WiiU is just a much weaker 8th gen console.

Just to be clear I never said Wii U wasn't 8th gen because it technicaly is.

I was just saying its hard for me to think of it as "next gen" when it has much more in common with the Gen 7 consoles. I wasn't meaning it to bash just when I think of next gen I think of whats pushing the boundaries forward from a tech point of view.

I almost think of Nintendo hardware as their own gen since they basically don't act anything like MS / Sony / PC
