It's strange how the only effort nintendo put to seriously stop piracy was the DSi since hackers still haven't been able to crack DSi mode yet and here we are 3 years later and we'll be able to play every 3DS ROM with the latest firmware supported. 

I guess it's a gift that I am very in touch with the hacking and PC community. :;P

That sucks. Luckily it souns like they can still fully protect against piracy.

Highly doubtful according to how nintendo has withstood against piracy judging by their past. The WII had laughable security and the DS was very easy to break.

Basically, according to those... The offical firmware has to be 4.5 or below but once its hacked, the firmware can be updated to 7.0+

Oh I mean they legally can. I know hackers will get through eventually.

I guess it really is only for 4.5 and under. Although they could release updates for 6.X and up. 

Yeaa, I had a similar issue with I hacked my ps3 but luckly, that was easy to software downgrade but hacking it was still a bitch... Sighh Time to wait more for an alternative to Nintendo's Region Lock T_T
