i think modding is not strict at all here, is kinda loose if anything...

This is all part of Mr Khan's vision to turn VGChartz into a dystopian Utopia modelled on Equestria.

I SEE THROUGH YOUR LIES MR KHAN!

I think the mods are fair, you just have to watch what you say.  The mods are actually very generous on what can and can't be said.

Sigh...why are we doing this again? Occasionally someone comes along, gets angry with a ban and then writes a thread about it. Which is in itself against the rules, you know.

I see no issue with the action taken. You called the Wii U dead, what did you expect to happen? That's flaming after all. So I don't know where the issue is.

By the way, if you have a problem, message the head mod (Axumblade) or maybe post in a kind, constructive way in the thread below:

I don't see people getting banned for callimg the vita dead when it's just as in a bad position as the WII U.

Yeah you can't even make a passing joke on this website about a console/game without getting moderated.

Mods need to allow some banter which makes life more colourful than the dull utopian attitude.

It really isn't.

You need only read previous bans and the forum rules to see that, on this site at least, it is.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

If you have a history, then the mods have their eyes on you more. If a Nintendo fan said the same thing as you they probably would not get banned, because it is clear that they like Nintendo and mean no harm. While if you said it, and you have a bad history then it is clear to the moderation team that you do mean harm.

I'm not masking my dislike for Nintendo. I have stated my reasons many times and like so many others, my main beef with Nintendo is that they refuse to go 3rd party when that's clearly better for me as a consumer.

I've made personal attacks on Nintendo fans before which I regret and I deserved those suspensions. I've toned it down though and even though my rethoric is competitive and charged with rivalry, it doesn't rise to trolling.

The fact that I'm being told to stay away from Nintendo threads is unjust and unreasonable. That's why I'm making this thread.

Tone.

Tone can change how your posts are perceived by others and that includes mods and admins.

If you wish to proclaim something negative in a manner that will instigate retaliatory comments and derail a thread after you've already been warned about posting in the Nintendo forums, you should prepare for moderator action.

You were not only warned but apparently continued doing what you were warned about. And you wonder why a ban was issued?

Tone. Learn the value of pleasantly toned discourse and you can make your opinions known anywhere with little to no consequences.

3/4 of the forum would be banned, including Sony fans.

Technically his moderation would fall under trolling/flamebaiting which is different from flaming and even under the former I still don't see it as trolling.
