is not being sold at a profit then it cant be overpriced. the gamepad is integral part of the experince and the selling point off WiiU wether you like it or not.

I would probably buy the cheapest option their games are on, thus the Nintendo console. (usually the cheapest)

What would be the point of the Wii U if the games that you'd buy the Wii U for are on different systems?

There'd be no point for Nintendo to even make a console if they put their games on other systems...

Current gaming platforms - Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, New 3DS, PC

I disagree, imo wii u is strugglin because of that unnecesarily gimmick.

Honestly, probably not.

My friends get other consoles and I always wanted to play online with them. Yeah, I would miss the gamepad and motion controls, but it still would be Nintendo games at their core.

LOL, I see that.  "No, I still want to play it on a Nintendo system because [insert reason]"  Split personality much? J/K

Quite frankly it depends.  I would easily have paid $100 for the gamepad add on to the PS4.  Once you take away the gamepad, there is nothing special about the Wii U hardward itself.  That being said, the gamepad is a good device with potential barring some ergonomics.

Anyway, none of the above will ever happen so moot point.  The Wii U is fine, it just needs some more games and it will make it through the gen.  Not first, but it will be fine and so will Nintendo.  Hopefully N realizes now not to worry so much about power envelope next time and releases a slighly more graphically capable system. At least Xbox One level of performance maybe.

I own the system...

Ummm... I buy consoles for exclusives... The Gamepad is amazing and makes a number of games much better but...

Only my fanboyism would make me get a console which was giving its exclusives to its rivals. I mean, to ask the same question who would buy a PS4 if the Xbox One and Wii-U had all its exclusives? Who would by a Xbox One if all it's exclusives were on Wii-U and PS4?

I mean, if none of them had any exclusives I'd get a Wii-U for the free-online, next-gen interface, off-screen play, and its plethora of advantages for local multi-player for mult-platform titles... but then again for the PS4 and Xbox One to have all the same games they'd need to have their own Gamepad interfaces, Wii-Mote compatibility, and probably a Mii-Verse as well.

I'd stick with my Wii-U, greater cost efficiency.
