Even then it wasnt referring to the promotion at all. We will see if Machinima are fined. But Microsoft had nothing to do with it. I know it hurts, but its true.

This. Microsoft have been completely aquitted from Machinima, and even ioi has come on and given his 2 cents. This was and always was from the start about P*ssing on MS.

SELNOR STFU and by that I mean don't answer the bait.... if you want comfort Sony has been funneling more cash the past year in sponsored social media advertising than most tech companies.... they have a flooded ship to save.... no need to justify that to the weasels around here.....

and BTW only the bad companies with weak media relation department don't do it today.... a company that doesn't do it nowadays is not an ethical company.... just a very has-been one....

Machinima has openly admitted microsoft had no involvement and yet you continue on with the blabbering. Until you provide hard evidence or a convincing argument other than  assumptiions liike "Microsoft surely must have known about it yadda yadda yadda" then i can't take what you write seriously.

Oh machinma said.................... if you work in business/it you know nothing gets past legal, regulatory. To try and argue a company like MS who value compliancy, just sign contracts without going over the details is purely laughable. Machinma falling on the sword to keep their deal, not surprising,.

As I've pointed out previously, every company does this - including Sony - any of them could have been "called out" just as easily.


I know Im an over eager Fanboy poster. I am really trying to be subjective though now. Really. But I have to say, even with Machinima on their own clearing Microsoft of any involvement, people here and on other sites carry on.

Fair enough. I do agree. But the fanbase in question has gone from 100 or so when I first joined in 2007 to 10? in 2014. How long before none?

To be fair though Selnor(I was not a poster back then but followed the site faithfully) the fanbase in question was larger when they were on top. Not that they are not on top anymore and can't use the old arguments they have kind of disappeared. I would dare to say they were greater in number and even more vocal than the "other" fans back then.

And I agree though there are some poster who indeed just post and say things to downplay MS. Even as Sony fan it annoys me with certain posts that they make. But there are no "victim" fanbases becase all deal witht he same things or have dealt with them. It is normal...you just have to learn to ignore certain people that's all.
