Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Leak Codename: Fusion DS and Termnial

I thought Nintendo should do this idea awhile ago, and hopefully this is it.

Nintendo releases a DS and a console that play the exact same games. So develop on one system and it can play on both. If they want to play at home, buy the home console, want to play portable, buy the portable. Third parties will flock to Nintendo because they'll also be able to get sales from two markets without having to port it to two different consoles.

It looks like the portable version and console version may use the same games but one is printed on an SDHC card while the console version is printed on disc.

Code names Fusion DS and Fusion Terminal could have a specific meaning of fusing the DS and console together, what I explained above.

This would be a bad idea. It'll cause customer confusion and Nintendo would cannibalize the sales of both systems. Very bad idea.

If this is true, how much do you think it might costs in say 2-3 years?

Fake, Ninty are very secretive about specs and people are still speculating about Wii U specs lol

lol, way too obvious.

next next gen is upon us!

It would be fun if it was real, which it isn't.

Some things do make sense though, like linking the handheld market where they do well with the home console where their market share is smaller. I also think Nintendo IS preparing its next handheld. The market moves to fast with mobile tech now, you need new things to stay fresh. The've also replaced systems quickly before - though usually just partial revisions like Gameboy Color, DS Lite, DSi, etc. So I can see a new handheld soon, and if Wii U is bombing at about 2.5 million a year, an integrated home console could follow soon after. But this "leak" is surely made up.

"MEMORY: 4 Gigabytes of Unified DDR4 SDRAM CODENAME KONG, 2 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz (12.8 GB/s) On Die CODENAMED BARREL."

Really? Everything sounded plausible until i read this. I'd guess the author included the 2GB DDR3 RAM in order to make it sound like it was backwards compatible with WIIU.

Oh my, the console looks like it'll have a lot of Iwata Beef, but it also sounds expensive. Destroys PS4/XB1 though. Likely fake. If anything, I may expect 2-3 TF GPU for their next console, 4TF+ seems too good to be true. The idea of these two working together is interesting though....
