I thought Nintendo should do this idea awhile ago, and hopefully this is it. Nintendo releases a DS and a console that play the exact same games. So develop on one system and it can play on both. If they want to play at home, buy the home console, want to play portable, buy the portable. Third parties will flock to Nintendo because they'll also be able to get sales from two markets without having to port it to two different consoles. It looks like the portable version and console version may use the same games but one is printed on an SDHC card while the console version is printed on disc.
Code names Fusion DS and Fusion Terminal could have a specific meaning of fusing the DS and console together, what I explained above.

This would be a bad idea. It'll cause customer confusion and Nintendo would cannibalize the sales of both systems. Very bad idea.
