Buying a ps4 is a matter of timing, if you're okay with the wait then no doubt an amazing an expansive library will grow, if you want to jump in straight away there's enough there to tide you over at least long enough till other games release or the hype train stops at your local station (e3)

Wait till summer. I'm pretty sure you've owned many consoles in your lifetime. For now, its a been there, done that feeling.

You're about to fall for the hype and you're too old for that. Like many other members you most probably spend more time on VGC anyway than with actually playing games. Save the money.

I got my hands on the DS4 today and now all I want to do is buy a PS4, but there is like zero games I want right now =( maybe I will just buy a DS4 and us it on my PS3 =(

Just playing Flower with the upgraded visuals and more responsive DS4 in 1080p60 was worth it. (Finally made it to the city unscathed!) And it was a free upgrade. The sound effects in Resogun are amazing if you have a decent surround setup.

Although to be honest, after finishing NFS Rivals and AC4 I've mainly been playing GT6. Knack is fun to play with the kids, KZ:SF looks and sounds pretty, Contrast has a fun gimmick but I have yet to finish all of those. Playroom was fun for a couple hours, a nice glimpse into a future that may never yield a real game.
I now use the ps4 for messaging, browsing the shop, trophies, internet or check the live streams while my ps3 is doing it's usual slow loading, updating, blu-ray pre menu crap, copying large video files and what not.

Anyway playing a new system on a wave of hype is a lot of fun. And since it's not going to drop in price any time soon, you might as well get one sooner rather then later.

Right now the big plus is having something shiny and new to show friends. In terms of playing the PS3 still gets the lion's share of my console time.

There's plenty to do on the ps4 right now. I havn't put it down sense lauch. Expect to play a bit of GT every now and again. Best controller out, really sold games, and the indy titles releasing along with a few gems from ps3 really help with the so called game drought that happing. Give it a go man, you wont regret.

Any time you buy a system early you're gambling. You're placing your bet that the console will be awesome and that it will be loaded with the games you want to play. If you buy a PS4 soon I doubt you'll regret it because you're simply making a purchase you seemed rather convinced you'll be making anyways. Does it really matter if you buy one now or wait a couple months? Not much will change in that time and you may end up just depriving yourself of fun experiences for the sake of having a bigger selection of games. As others have said, the system won't be getting cheaper any time soon.

Do you like the games you see right now or the games that are coming soon? Assassins's Creed IV, Battlefield 4, Flower, Infamous, Injustice, Need for Speed, Outlast, Rayman Legends, Resogun, Sound Shapes, Thief, Tomb Raider, Trine 2. All of those games are at least good or expected to be so along with games like Driveclub and Watch Dogs that don't have release dates yet but many are expecting before Summer.

If you already want it and can afford it then there's little reason to wait unless not a single one of the current games or upcoming games for it appeal to you.

I think demand will increase more when the exclusives start rolling out. I want to see what infamous second son will do.

yes,buy,buy,america must be taken
