Forums - Sony - Do you think Sony will ignore Vita at E3 2014?

What will happen at E3 2014?

Sony will focus on PS4 co... 131 54.36%

Sony will give more Vita ... 110 45.64%

Total:241

the focus will be ps4 but they'll probably announce some ps vita games, hopefully some of the requested localizations and ports that are on the list Gio Corsi is working on. Possibly a release date for gravity rush 2? some new games hopefully.

i just want some japanese games to get localized but i'm aware that a lot of people want more western developers support.

PS4 connectivity and that's it.

For the most part, yes, Sony will ignore the Vita.

of course yes! Why Sony will care to show just a PS4 controller?

This would bother me if it wasn't true.

I think they'll announce something interesting for the Vita

I think that they will finally give the Vita plenty of attention this time around, seeing as how the PS3 is not really getting anything from Sony other than 3rd party games this year. I just hope we get some new AAA games announced, and finally if SCEA has anything in store for the Vita, because their support has been terrible. Loving the Japanese support however.

They are going to push it hard again, probably with more indies. Maybe a price cut and the long awaited PS4/Vita bundle.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

at e3, maybe not, Vita is more japan centric, but if sony keep supporting vita like now, i would be fine.

In fact, Vita has as much first party games coming than other consoles so, they're really not ignoring Vita in term of first party support.

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

This list of games to be released in 2014 says it all........... http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/01/16/the-top-30-playstation-vita-games-of-2014

Here are a few things you must look at,

(1) 2013 was a very VERY solid year of releases for the Vita. Killzone, Dragons Crown, Guacamelee, Y's, The Walking Dead, Soul Sacrifice, Tearaway, Sly Cooper led the way in some of the best portable games released last year.

(2) 2013 Also saw many Indie titles released on the Vita. Lone Survivor, Spelunky, Terreria, Hotline Miami, are just a few.

(3) The Indie game development is on the up and up and as you saw with Sony's pledge to support these games, you will see many more great Indie titles come to the Vita.

(4) Digital sales account for most of the Vita's sales, so even if you may not see them chart on the monthly NPD sales charts, just take a look at the PSN monthly sales charts. Vita games are selling well. Add to that all the PS+ DLC sales and you have digital sales that are for the most part in the dark.

Sony however needs to do a few things to see the Vita sales pick up.
(1) Drop the price of the memory cards to a reasonable price. ($20 lower that they are currently) would be perfect.
(2) Bundle the Vita with the PS4 ASAP. Lets face it, the PS4's demand is currently through the roof and sought after by by millions of gamer's around the globe. a PS4+Vita bundle priced at $550 would be gold...... Keep on Gaming.

If you mean ignore as in 'briefly mention Vita with 2 or 3 games', then yes that's ignorning. But if you think it's gonna be a full on no mention of Vita titles then no.
