I see an even bigger separation between hardcore and casual gamer. You will see more mini-games for Wii and huge budget games for PS360.

Casual fans will not touch games like Halo, MGS or FF, while hardcore fans will not touch games like Carnival, Cutie Kitten ;)...

The day this happens is the day I give up videogames..............or at least curtail my activity greatly.

 I have seen how far and deep games can be, and I cannot go back.  Casual (or non-traditional, whatever) games can be fun, but I want more than just those games.

non-traditional? nope. Casual sounds like a better term by far. non-traditional means more like Niche games (NMH, Z&W) than Casual (Carnival, Wiiplay)

I think I agree with kingofwale on this one. Seeing as there is apparently no definition, I will give my take. Casual should refer to games like Wii Sports and Carnival games. Games that have little depth or storyline to engage the player. Non-traditional would be better suited for games like this new game Sadness that is supposed to come out for the Wii some time in the future.
