i feel like, at least for me, nintendo's is building a reputation of creating low budget, low graphic, low featured (wrt online for instance) is exactly why i lost all interest in nintendo. imo, instead of making their reputation even worse they should try and make something,.. impressive.

late 2017 at the earliest.

That's what MS did with XBox and it worked out fine. This year will really determine what they do. I think if sales pick up to the 7-12 million range, they will support Wii U and release the successor in 2017. If sale are 6 million or less this year, they proceed with an all-new system and ideal, and release it in 2016.

I disagree with you completely but that's just my opinion.

Releasing big games will be what pushes the system sales which will in return push game sales even more.

Killing the Wii U off early certainly sounds like a Saturn / Dreamcast situation. I'd wait at least the normal 5 years. The Wii U is no Saturn but it'd still look bad. Plus, that means Nintendo would have even less time to plan ahead.

I'm strictly talking from a financial perspective, it makes more sense to make a "small" game and make huge profits. Also, you can make impressive "small" games, just look at Mario 3D World and Galaxy.

I think you missed the point. I'm not saying Nintendo should stop making big games, just make 1 or 2 of those games a year. Release 1 at middle of the year and the other during the holidays. The other gaps should be filled with "small" low risks games.

Nintendo just simple doesn't have the manpower (or at least not yet) to make a ton of big games a year. This, I believe, is one of the reasons why Wii, DS and 3DS have been successful for them.

A very reasonable prediction. We might see it dropped in 2015 if sales continue to plummet this year.

The all new Wii U Pro Set. Comes with 250 GB of RAM, a glossy and classy silver finish, Wii tailored it just for U, all for just $300.00.

This can help lure in a few "core" gamers for sure.

Ehh as long as I get X ill be fine.

you could be right, 4 years and kaput would not be unthinkable.
