Forums - Nintendo - How would a Nintendo FPS be like?

Honestly Nintendo could release a FPS that is better than cod in every way, but since its from Nintendo most "dude bro" gamers would not take it seriously.  I think Nintendo should stick to what they know and make Metroid Prime 4, not a military FPS.  If your talking about third person on rails games like Kid Icarus then I think Nintendo should just make another Star Fox.

It coming from nintendo has nothing do with gamers dismissing it.  The problem is nintendo hasnt built an audience on their systems for these types of games.  If nintendo wants to attract fps fans to their system they need to build an audience for it and one game wont do it.  The problem is nintendo makes family oriented games, while they are good games, they arent likely to have a lot of crossover with an fps gamer.  Nintendo would have to alter their entire sleight of first party games if they wanted to start building that audience, which would then cost them their core audience.

like sunset overdrive.

I would want it to be unique in gameplay.

Story? I'd rather it be supernatural instead of war-based.

Side note: Has NOTHING to do with Mario.

Maybe like this. The world according to Pyro's eyes. So magical.

Ive heard alot of people say Miyamotos new IP will be Mario Paintball

As far as I know games like X aren't very family oriented, and Nintendo making an FPS wouldn't somehow disrupt their genes, GoldenEye and Perfect Dark were successes in the n64 days, an FPS by Nintendo or even a third party exclusive FPS could potentially do well.

Did GoldenEye and Perfect Dark make you lose all faith in humanity as well?

a Nintendo FPS can exist without Nintendo canceling all of their other franchises.

Yes, did not thought about that. Let it happen them.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

According to Miyamoto it would since he says an ip is about different play styles compared to simply new characters which I kinda agree with.

I dont consider Mario Party, Mario Kart, Paper Mario all the same ip just because they all have Mario in the title.
