I like both but i like Multiplayer more than singleplayer so ill go with gameplay.

While i can enjoy a story for roughly 6-20 hours with most games, the multiplayer games i play can go from anywhere to 50-1000 hours

Story is very important to me. But thats not to say I wont play a purely gameplay focused game. Its just that my 5 fave franchises are Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Kingdom Hearts, Zelda and Pokemon. 3 of which are very much story driven games for me and 2 which have decent enough stories to with excellent gameplay

For me, a game that prioritizes story over gameplay is a bad game, and the trend towards these kind of games is a malignant cancer of the industry.

Unplayable game with a great narrative. Or amazingly fun game with a shitty story.

I'll say the most important aspect of a game is how much fun you have with it.

I like SP over MP, so I'll go with gameplay.

Yeah there are a bunch of good MP games, but the vast majority get stale pretty quickly. SP is where the perfectly crafted gameplay is.

Depends on the game. I could care less about story in your average MP FPS or fighting game but in an RPG, it's nice to have a great story

I can give 2 Sh!ts about a story.
I just wanna run around and beat stuff up.
a minor story is ok but overdoing it like modern games are is just not doing it for me.
