There are a lot of 360 games that are under tracked so in reality the 360 already has over 200 games that sold over 1 million for a long time. Also if you add digital sales its a lot more then 200 I'm guessing pretty much every game that has sold over 900K is over a million if you add digital sales.

That would go for Sony as well... but sadly that is the data VGC have... maybe one of them pull some distance so it gets clearer to decide.

Well but since the 360 came out a year earlier it actually has a lot more games with incomplete sales numbers.  Plus the 360 has more of its physical games also available in digital form so we will never know how many million sellers it truely has.

Dead or Alive 4 used to be over a million plus there a many more 360 that have incomplete sales data because it came out a year before the PS3.  As for the percentage of physical games that are available digital its much higher on the 360.

Yep, we could probably apply an incertanty measure here and say that unless one of the two plats is more than 10 million seller away from the other, we can't be sure. To see who would be more undertracked because of digital I would need to research, and incomplete numbers we would need source to complete them... but here is just a celebration of a milestone, nothing serious or devaluating MS.

Well its kinda a technicality but a few launch games for 360 like Perfect Dark Zero and Dead or Alive 4 had deleted sales data but were formerly million sellers.

But hey congrats!

Ps3 has been on the market 1 year less, 16months less in Europe.

I don't consider that the biggest issue (it just became an issue because the two platforms is so close on general success... MS coming from the begining of the gen and Sony from the end).. if Sony got closer to the sucess of PS2 we wouldn't need to count every game, but that would also take out some of the funny... no amount of digital sales or "deleted data '' would make Xbox original sell closer to PS2 so there wasn't even discussion.

The original Xbox never had full retail games available digitally so digital numbers wouldn't help it if they where avaiable except for the orginal Xbox titles that are avaiable on the 360.

Looking back in 2006 / 2007 this seems like a miracle.

I wasn't implying Xbox original had... it was rethorical, that we are discussing incomplete data or digital because its so closer, if it was LIKE PS2 era then it would be pointless. Counting just exclusive to ps3 retail games for PS3 and any game you could see for X360 would still be lackluster if the marketshare were like that era.
