I hate these charts. It doesn't exactly work like that.

Charts like these matter to banks, not the average consumer. We're simply too simpleminded to think this way all the time.

I really don't understand why people are arguing on this thread. The original poster displayed only facts to make a point, and that was it. The chart shows price, not affordability. Can someone explain to me why it is hard for people to accept the fact that the Wii U is not Nintendo's most expensive home console?

The bad thing about the Wii U is not so much its price, but that never before so much of the price of a Nintendo console was made of the controller.
Nintendo could be selling a much cheaper console, more powerful, and making a profit on every console sold.
