Forums - Gaming - Any console converts here? And why?

I keep on switching between Sony and Nintendo

gamecube > psp > wii > ps3 > 3ds > vita > wiiU > ps4? (not sure about the ps4 yet)

Its mostly cause I look for the best services and games... I almost got an xbox cause of halo but the next gen was coming out so I didn't bother... I didn't get a 360 cause of the mandatory online pay and thats whats preventing me from getting a ps4 just yet... I like to have optional things instead of mandatory...

Went from 360 to WiiU!

-Miiverse is more positive than Xbox Live
-WiiU has better platformers, and more of them
-TV integration of the WiiU is a little better
-Menus are faster to navigate than 360 and XOne
-Better games I could play with my wife. We had a blast with Super Mario 3D World!
-Better graphics than the 360
-No more online service fees
-More "open" storage options, any USB, SD card or external drive can hook up to the U
-Backwards compatibility for games and controllers
-A lot of cross-platform games are cheaper on the U
-More promising games for 2014 on the WiiU (Bayo 2, MK8, Watch Dogs, X, etc)
-Hideki Kamiya
-Because it's Nintendo

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Also, I have no faith in the new Halo dev's ability to deliver great multiplayer (Halo 4's multiplayer sucked)

Was going to pick up a Vita but i had went with a 3DS instead. Im sure i would have been satisfied no matter the choice.

In last gen I already converted from Xbox 360 to PS3 but now I have converted back to PC gaming. I will probably buy a PS4 eventually so I can play God of War and Platinum's games that only tend to be on console, the next Red Dead and stuff. BTW, is Metal Gear 5 console exclsuive?

Can't convert to anything when you already get them all.

Gamer first!

after the n 64 I went to xbox, been on those products ever sense mainly.

in the middle I picked up a few nintendo handhelds a wii and some ps2's but the consoles I have focused on most have been the nintendo systems up to n64 and then all the xboxes.

^Yes that's me ripping it up in the GIF. :)

No need to switch if you already got all of them. Except the bad ones.

I missed console gaming last gen, joined budget PC gaming around 2008. From launch I supported the Wii and what it stood for from the sidelines (on the net >_>). Around 2010 my allegiance changed to the PS3. At the start of this gen I landed my first job and upgraded my PC to upper mainstream levels and grabbed a WiiU about 6 months after launch. I still believed in what the Wii stood for. If my PC didn't exist Id have waited and got a PS4 first and then got a WiiU later. As it stands there's not enough separating the PS4 from my PC but I expect to own one eventually. I have nothing against XBox its just not my cup of tea, paying for live "was" a big deal though. In-fact paying for PSN might be a barrier as I'm used to free online on my PC and WiiU >_>

This post brings so many similarities as to things that I think. I too was brought back to consoles by the Wii and I still believe in what it stood for.

I converted from PS3 to PS4. Does that count?
