I am totally serious here........Sony selling something is essentially a non-effort on their part.

Sony: We are announcing _______

Sony fans: LOVE it!

PS Move (when fans denounced the Wii), PS Plus (subscriptions), PS4 multiplayer (paywall), PS Now (internet requirement). They seriously can't miss if they tried.

Yes, it's hard to think of a counter-example. The few Sony fans who raise opposition usually get beat down and then overshadowed by the absolutely crazy ones.

Wow....didn't see that response coming from you

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Not exactly. I can rent games on psnow, Im not forced to buy at $60 with no guarantee of even keeping it. If I rent the game, then we all know what is up and thats fine. Its not going to keep me from playing my $60 disc game if the internet is down, good try OP.

If internet was down you would have 24h to play or could use a 3G cellphone to update the certificated.

-Netflix you can may buffer some seconds of video. Playstation Now on the other hand the conection MUST be persistent and stable.

PS: XOne is a success, but there is no indication Playstiton Now will prosper. I remember a few months ago how exited people where for the Vita TV, or the Vita for all that matter.

Yeah its that first point you made that is unacceptible to me, and I dont have the 3g option.

Have you been without internet for more than 24h straight?

My family lives in the countryside of Brazil (eventhough in the most developed region), and for the last 3 or 4 years they never went more than 24h without 3G signal. It´s a terrible internet conection, no stream is possible, but its always there.

Some times the energy goes down for half a day, and I can still talk to my mother using Skype in her notebook.

well my grandpa also lives in countryside of brasil (MG) and he often goes for 10B years without 3g or any internet.

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

The very minority of 90% of gaming outlets and 10+ to 1 on amazon pool... Incredible... People just ignore, I'm brazilian and now our school system is bad on Science, math and logic.

I think somebody does not understand what is going on... false equivalencies etc.

:-S

About sony fans loving anything... That is why pspgo, psvita got so right and ps3 took off very fast.

Ah, if only it were that simple. Then again, MS do have a worse marketing team.

MS marketing is far superior to Sony's, please don't forget the last 7 years.

Now PR .....

PR is marketing... isn't it? kind of.

I get what you mean but don't agree. I like MS operating systems, even if 8 is a pile of crap, 98 (SE), XP and 7 are great but their success in their OS departments haven't been replicated else where. Bing is not most people's prefered search engine, Zune wasn't successful. Yet on Sony side, while sure they might not make money, the Bravia and Vaio are respected/successful brands. I was talking overall mind you, not just the games departments of each company. The arrogance of Sony in 2006 was high.

Hmm, pie.

When you say something worth agreeing with. Reasonable people with agree with you. Yes, am saying i nodded instead of shaking my head while reading your post. Sony hype is on totally another level. Each small thing is celebrated as huge victory and all the failures are never talked about again. The Last of Us won over 100 GOTY awards...yea bro but most other first party games under performed or failed. No worries.

OT: Funny stuff.

PlayStation Now = PSN

Optional online feature vs mandatory online.

Talking trash about PsNow is like talking trash about DLC, bitching about an optional service.
