With 2k announcing the end of MLB2k, sony now has the entire baseball fanbase in their grasp, and i'm not talking huge like pokemon or call of duty, i'm talking huge for a sporting game.

Huge like Fifa, or Madden? Because this franchise will probably do at most 1.3M.

If by "huge" you mean "slightly bigger than it already is". Then yes. MLB games aren't that popular to begin with.

Even compared to other sports franchises - it won't be impressive. Fifa, Madden, NBA 2k... It'll probably do better than NHL, but it always had been.

If Sony market this game right it could be huge.

MLB2k13 sold 430k on PS360.

Considering they have 10 times the install base, on what are you basing your assumption?

MLB games have never sold on Xbox, so I doubt that its exclusion from XB1 is going to have much of a sway on Microsoft's loyal fan base. MLB The Show 2014 on PS4 will probably see sales in the ~600K range. That would be good numbers for a first year MLB game, and would be right in line with the series typical sales.

Speaking of The Show, I can not wait to see some full blown footage.
