Not the most controversial, but I still hear about the "Tonya Harding" incident even though it happened around the time I was born. That was messed up.

What was it the 1980 something Olympics Russians kept putting time back on the clock to cheat and win the game.

Tho the one that stands out most to me and while not really a sport but controversial is when Owen Hart fell 90 feet to his death at a PPV and Vince decided to go ahead with the PPV and none of the talent wanted to perform after that.
