DK is a strong seller but is he front loaded or does he have strong legs? Is he a system seller or does he sell primarily to current owners?

Also 500k per month is very optimistic. Vgchartz has November at 470k and December at 940k. Thats with 3D Mario, new bundles and the holidays.

If Mario couldn't move systems then what the hell can Donkey Kong do? The WiiU is about to drop dead and won't be revived until Mario Kart comes out.

Mario Kart aint gonna revive it homie. The Wii crowd doesn't want to spend 300 bucks + 60 bucks for mario kart just to get better graphics and a harder to use controller. they will just stick with wii mario kart.

Technically I would say Mario did move systems, the holidays would likely have been much worse without him but I get what u mean. Donkey Kong will cause a nice bumb for a few weeks but def not gonna push sales through the roof

I'm not saying it's going to sell another 30m copies, but it will improve hardware sales. Mario Kart is popular enough to move a few WiiUs, hopefully.
