Forums - Gaming - Can PS4 hit 8 million units sold by March 31?

How much PS4 will Sony sell by March 31?

6 million 159 18.03%

6.5 million 167 18.93%

7 million 273 30.95%

7.5 million 109 12.36%

8 million 89 10.09%

+9 million 85 9.64%

Total:882

A bit OT, but since this thread seems to have a small audience from the peanut gallery implying the PS4 is readily available and plentiful, here's the stock tracker used by consumers actually looking to buy one as opposed to guy who saw a shipment of PS4s unloaded off a shipping truck therefore they're everywhere.

Wow PS4 is dominating way harder than anyone could ever imagine.

Did you actually just say that? lol

people imagined far less than 1.4:1 by now???

behave yourself Turkish people were saying 2:1 and more for the whole of 2013.

Even recently Pezus said 3.4 PS4 and 2.2 ONE by the end of 2013...  thats 1.5:1

So he actually said it let alone only imagined it.

Lets wait for worldwide sales before we judge the ratio :) We still havent got Japan, and its the 2nd biggest market by country and 3rd by region.

So far, the only region where the ratio is lower than 2:1 is the US.

8mil is not possible. Demand would have dwindled then.

There is the the Japanese launch in the end of February so that will propel it too around six million or so.

has yet to dwindle a and no signs of it stopping.  With Japan dont see any reason it wont.

its more a question can they ship enough to sale 8million.

6 million I think. Sales will drop a lot from now until March, with the holiday excitement over and no big titles to get people salivating.

Some guys have really accute vision...

We in Brazil don't need it, our MRP allows for PS4 to be available right away by the cheap price of 4k (or US$1800) today at one internet store it was with a markup of 300.

I realize prices are a lot higher in Brazil for common consumer electronic goods but $1800... As much as I prefer playing my games on consoles, I could build a ridiculous gaming PC for that much that would double as an excellent workstation.

Part of the big appeal of the PS4 is that in NA markets, it's *only* $400, which is reasonably priced enough that even if it's only being used for games, it's not that expensive.
