My prediction is as follows.  Tbh i am talking shipped figures here rather than sold, but i've used 4.2m because it's the only figure we have.

The Q4 2014 numbers seem high, but other than that, looks pretty reasonable to me. 

7.2m by Q2 in particular.

I went with 6.5M here, but I could easily see it topping 7M if they can keep up with supply.

I really think it might.

There's no telling what it could have sold in US or Europe if they could have met demand. Its a safe guess they will flood the island with PS4s.

Out of stock at CND walmart bestbuy futureshop.  There still markets this thing is an elusive beast to hunt down.

If sony limits stock ww to build up inventory in japan, just saying in may still not be freely available in stores weeks down the line.

Oh wow great, now go bring up small instances of when a PS4 pops up here and there. Ignore what I originally said about freely available in stores which means in stock in every retail and online shops, its not the case, it won't be the case for a long time.
