Everything looks over tracked to me. Post Christmas drop off should have been in full effect this week comparing these numbers to last year. If they aren't over tracked and the week being one day early really made such a difference, then next week is going to have some brutal numbers for everyone.

This year week 52 had Sunday, Monday and Christmas Eve (i.e 3 huge shopping days) whereas last year only Sunday and Christmas Eve so yes, expect drops to be lower this week than last year but higher next week.

Just wanted to point out that in your pre-order chartz, Zumba Fitness is releasing next week. It has 0 sales on the XB360, yet the game actually released in November.

Partly my fault cause I didn't update the release date, but if you let me be admin I could fix issues like this and give Zumba Fitness some sales value. Not much motivation ocrrecting the release date only to see 0 sales still exist.

Regardless of if VGC estimates are out or not, when Titanfall drops Sony can kiss goodbye to US the same way Gears Of War did for 360. Then Halo 5 end of the year? US I expect Microsoft to be comfortable come Xmas 2014.

UK is the same. FPS are very popular in UK. And Sony doesnt have UK by any length of a landslide. Titanfall will tilt it back to Microsoft. Yes, PS4 is lacking on killer apps. At least till The Order 1886 hits. Driveclub will bomb hard and meta around 60.

While Titnafall metas around 95.

Hey its my opinion. But I think I'll be right. And 2016 will be hard for many to swallow when Cloud processing really takes off.

Im gonna give you another eh here.

Titanfall is releasing on 2 other platforms. One of these platforms has a dedicated, FPS loving userbase of over 80 Million and the other platform is the PC. Titanfall is gonna give the One a nice boost and all that, but its not gonna be anything like Gears of War.

Do you remember the Gears hype? It was touted as the first real "next gen" game on everything. It released on Xbox 360 at a time when PS3 wasnt even released in the West. It had NO next gen competition at all and it blew everything away that came before it. It was an actual Xbox 360 exclusive, not a multiplat and the 360 was at the time, the market leader of the 7th generation. When the PS3 released a week later, Gears of War blew away EVERYTHING on PS3 for the next 12 Months or so. This isnt gonna happen with Titanfall and PS4 because the PS4 has so many advantages that the PS3 didnt back then.

Halo will give the One the boost it needs, I just really think people are overestimating the impact of Titanfall.

If Titanfall does really well on the 360, I would expect Microsoft to go after exclusive rights on the sequel as well (be it full, or timed release).  After all, that's what they do is throw money at things...

At that point, people looking for the next installment will have to move to ONE (or PC).

I am sure Titanfall devs are eager to release (after 1 year) Titanfall 2 on PS4.

And Microsoft probably already tried to buy exclusive rights on the sequels (or the entire franchise). I am sure that some at Respawn already regret their 1 year exclusive with Microsoft considering the launch of the 2 systems. They must have seen that COD and BF4 shooters are already selling better on PS4.

For some devs, the job is not only about money. Some really want that the most gamers play/pay their games. Where the money comes from is important for some, coming from gamers meaning better recognition, more potential gaming awards etc.

A database admin would never have these kind of access rights (imagine if someone could just log in and change data to suit themselves!), this is something I can fix.

I know, that's why I'm asking for a promotion

Oh this is such a fun part of the year. So many threads from the past month will become invalid.

3DS has been out a month shy of 3 years, but I do expect PS4 to outsell its current sales in 3 years time. :)

I've come to moan here because I know nowhere better to moan:

I am competely at a loss at how they arrived at that FFX HD Remaster figure for Vita.  It's not the figure for the dual pack SKU with the standalone edition added separate.  It's not the figure for the dual pack (134k) plus FFX standalone (22k) plus FFX2 standalone (<13k).

It's just... some numbers.  That make little sense.

Which makes me feel angry!

It looks like they took the median of FFX's 22k and FFX-2's ~12k and added it to the dual packs numbers. 17k + 134k = 151k. Makes sense I guess.

That's not how it should work though.  They're just like... not counting sales.  Either you include both the games or neither of them.  Not like, 17k of the FFX sales and 0 of the FFX2 sales :P

You can't imagine how high the demand is for PS4 here in France....
