Infamous alone is right behind TF in pre-orders and has an extra week before it launches. So I image that is nervous laughter.

Infamous appeals to the harcore gamer 'internet nerd' stereotype that preorders games.

Titanfall takes the call of duty crowd who says 'dude' a lot and pretends that they're so cool playing videogames. Those people don't preorder.

COD had over 1 million pre-orders on the 360 alone. While it's true that Infamous usually has more pre-orders compared to it's sales than a game like COD,

Infamous 2- 160k pre-orders, 200k week one U.S. sales

Cod Ghosts- 957k pre-orders, 2,174k week one U.S. sales

But I don't think TF will have that kind of pre-order/sale ratio. Higher than SS I'm sure, but I doubt we'll see COD numbers. For example, take Gears 3.

1,536k pre-orders, 1,828k U.S. sales. and Gears has a similar "Bro-shooter" audience.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

you data seems on point. Though I disagree. No 'dude bro' people I know like gears of war 3. I like the game and I'm yet to find someone who plays it, they're all playing call of duty. To me gears of war stopped apealing to the masses and now caters more to their hardcore fans hence why they keep declining in sales.

As longs as it's on 360 I don't see it happening. Halo 5 is the only game that could push XBO over PS4 in the US.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

It's pretty certain the Xbox will Once again rule the USA. It's selling basically the same amount of units being 100 dollars more expensive than the PS4. With a price cut, Titanfall, Quantum Break, Halo 5, Fable Legends, Call of Duty exclusives, Kinect, Xbox Live superiority, and the failing Wii U, the Xbox One has everything going for it. My question is, will the Xbox One start outselling the PS4 when 360 owners will want the superior version of Titanfal and upgrade to an Xbox One? I think Titanfall has the potential to sell a million+ Xbox One units in 2014. It will push Xbox One over PS4 all the way until Halo 5 in the US!!

No. The 360 version is going to outsell it by 3:1.

Yes this is true no doubt.

It is going to shift XBO hardware, but not the 120,000 gap a week that one guy suggested in another post (crazy numbers). It will boost for 1-2 weeks and then drop off. It being available on 360 will definately harm the actual XBO sales, and it would be better for MS if the game came out later in the year where more people want a console.. this early in the gen, it will have an effect but too many people still attached to last gen.

But I would argue that Gears 3 was the last and most anticipated of the "Bro" gears games.

Bros don't care about story or a series, hence why they play call of duty. In my opinion. I think a lot of them were discouraged by gears of war 2's horribly laggy online and didn't go to 3.

Idk or care about the sales but it's the game pushing Xbone over PS4 for me personally. And LOL @ someone saying MLB and Infamous "evens it out". Started my morning out with a great laugh, thanks.

That's cool if you play Pre-Order Charts 2k14 I guess. I don't put any stock in them, whether Titanfall is "right ahead" of Infamous or Titanfall is #1 and Infamous is #250.

Also, I don't wish any bad things on Infamous. The first one is one of my favorite games of this gen and was one of my first platinums. I loved the story and the settings, too bad they ruined pretty much everything in the sequel imho, and the 3rd one just doesn't click with me.

I agree with the first part of your post, but Sales for 3 are well within the margin of error when compared to 2. Of course all of this Gears talk is just speculation on how TF will do compared to it's pre-orders. I'm actually really interested to see how this plays out.

With the hype behind it- I would think so. But that really depends on what games Sony has in the Summer/ Fall.

We're in a thread talking about Titanfall and it's possible draw to the Xbox One which might push it over the PS4 in the U.S. That is why someone mentioned that SS and MLB will probably even that out. You mentioned that his notion was laughable despite the fact that the info we currently have suggests that SS alone will have very similar sales to TF.

I assume you have more reliable information to base your assumtion on?
