Game of the generation, yes. But how can you guys keep playing it multiple times?
For me it was all about the story. I even hated the gameplay at times because it it slowed down the progress.

I had some issues (especially with the AI) so I wouldn't call it the best of the generation. I must admit that it is easily game of the year though.

10/10 would bang.

I would say it's one of the best experiences of the generation simply for the story, but as a game itself I found it pretty average, save for the great MP. So it's far from game of the generation for me. I would give that to Bioshock maybe, or Skyrim.

Not even close. I thought the ending was crap. The ending was basicaly ''oh, you know that goal you had for this entire game? Well grats, you achieved it! Theirs one problem tho,, tough luck cause this was actualy a bad thing and you have to spend the next hour undoing it'' I don't understand why ppl love this ending so much? You guys love how it ends giving the impression that we are about to start a new chapter? I guess it must be because Joel kills his friend...offp^lay.

But the story aside from the endingt was really good. I did'nt care for Joel's daughter dying cause it was unbeleivably predictible (same thing for Ellie being immune, and she having to die) Characters were spot on tho.

Did'nt care much for the gameplay, if Uncharted has never been into talk of game of the gen for it's gameplay I don't see why TLOU would since it's gameplay was iddentical (aside from the melee fights which were better in UC imo).


So my answer is, great game but not game of the gen. Maybe top 20 or top10. Top5 if you are talking about action game of the gen, maybe top1 if your talking about survival game.

My game of the gen is Xenoblade, but this game is way to niche to be aknowledge by most mainstream gamers that appreciate TLOU so much cause of ''omg, this voice acting, omg this story is making me cry'' that are all bs to me cause that is NOT what should matter the most in a videogame imo.

As good as The Last of Us is it would prob rank up there with the top.

However it becomes opinionated after that.

As for game defying, probably Call of Duty 4. It changed the entire generation and brought in millions upon millions of new gamers, from casual to hardcore yearly.

Yes game of the generation for me. Although I have heard amazing things about red dead redemption and I am going to play it this week. Super mario galaxy was amazing too and uc2 was generation defining too. But yes TLoU was simply a masterpiece from start to end, it was one of the games I had to tell myself "it is just a game" the pther being TWD.
