Well, he has been without his Ps3 for almost a month. My nieces and nephew destroyed that.

Still no reason to buy an X1.

He can't be a real PS fan if he goes that far. Maybe he likes the brand but obviously not the exclusives. Unless he has enough cash and will buy a PS4 as soon as it's available.

What can I say?  The whole thing has really perplexed the hell out of me.  I'm just going to go back to playing my Nintendo where everything still makes sense...

Chances are he'll like it. After all if you like jesus, you should like Titanfall as well as they share similar traits.
