I'm not huge into racing games these days, but I am into cars.  I saw these pics on Autoblog, and I can help but think how amazingly real they look.  Is this game going to blow away both GT and Forza?  Is this the new standard?

With the AutoVista mode in Forza 5 the cars in that game are still more detailed plus despite only having a small roster of 200 cars, Project CARS will have even less.

Not so impressive in motion, screenshots are the easiest way to show a game looks good imo.

Just remember that Project Cars doesnt have a major publisher behind them. They are a small team in comparison to Polyphony Digital and Turn 10. The game has also been in development for a really long time.

Um yeah, you don't race in autovista mode. Though it will have less cars and perhaps content. But in a way that could allow them to focus more on quality

In the recent builds, the environments are very impressive and near photorealistic. But the car reflections seem to be a little weak . I'm torn between getting the WiiU or the PC/Linux version. On the PC front I'm dying for more AAA Linux games, plus it will be cheaper and of course my 7870 was built for games like this ^_^.

Project Cars with it's destruction model will own arcade racers like forza and gt.
