i dont really have much knowledge of this sort of thing, so i was wondering if this is a good deal for a new laptop. this is in Australian dollars, by the way.

u could get the same thing w. one giga byte ram...
and w. vista

for the price that u have u could
get 2 gb ram and 250 hd
and atleast 15 in screen w. vista

ok then so thats bad... how bout this then, i think its better. for an extra $20

graphics card: Geforce 8600 256MB
screen: 15.4"
same everything else. i can choose from vista or xp

but the processor is only 1.8GHz. i could upgrade it to 2GHz for an extra $80

Just buy it out of the country. You could get the same thing for 700 + shipping might be 150. This is based of usd but they are close enough in value.

Unless your willing to order a laptop online from overseas don't listen to any one here unless they are your fellow country men. The US is going to be the cheapest and the best deal in Australia will still be bad in the US. Look at gas, they cry when it hits 3 dollars a gallon.

Whats wrong with ordering online? Its a cheaper deal plus extras.
