im in the minority, i didnt like the ending. Wouldnt mind seeing a sequel where its just Ellie ane she finds out what happend and how she reacts.

Spoiler

She knows

was their a scene i missed, did it go over my head or was it just one of those its up to the viewer?

No, you didn't miss anything; it could have been hard to spot if you weren’t paying attention. It was in the very last seen he facial expression and the way she talk to Joel. Plus it was confirmed by ND.

oh, that actually makes me feel a bit better ,thanks for that. I still wouldnt mind seeing a sequel.

This is partly a personal rant, but I hate when people bring up a possible TLOU 2... If this game is to retain its intrinsec value it doesn't need a sequel. It is great as it is; a sequel would just dilute the good things about it. For me, this is just the kind of game that should stand on its own. Please don't milk it.

ND please dont listen to this man

Actually I want Ellie +10 years not couriering the next possible cure carrier but plagued by he near butchering and cooking into Ellie pie by David's commune she sets out to hunt the hunters. Or something. Joel's story is done. But Ellie's is not. I would like to see what ND do with Ellie finding out the truth of the fireflies intentikns 10 or 20 years later after Joel is dead, it's never too late to sacrifice yourself for a cure. Would she? Or does she like living and protecting her own tribe too much?

More stories in that world are not necessarily sequels. After all we tell many stories about people in our own world and they are not sequels. Is every story set in New York a sequel of the first story set in New York?

The ending of the TLoU didn't really set up for a sequel, so I don't see how one could be created. Though I'm sure professional writers are much more creative than I am - if they could think of a sensible story, then they should do it. A different story with different characters could easily fix this problem, but I personally have no interest in anyone else.

Ultimately, I would prefer for them to leave TLoU alone and make a new IP along with the inevitable Uncharted PS4 game(s).

Wouldn't mind a new game in the world of the Last of Us.. just not with Joel and Ellie... their story is done

And it better release for PS4 as well.  Because I sold my PS3 already and don't plan on rebuying it.

What will you do if The Last Guardian is released only on PS3?

LOL, I would sell my spare kidney!

I have to say I agree. To me, The Last of Us is a game about Joel and Ellie, and not really about the world its set in. Since the story of Joel and Ellie is done, I don't see the need to continue the series. It wouldn't make sense, sort of like writing a sequel to Cormac McCarthy's The Road. Some games, novels, or films are simply great as standalone works, and I personally think that The Last of Us is one of them.

Of course, I'm excluding the story DLC for TLOU, as that is already planned.

Actually...it was revealed in the story that this battle is about more than just Joe and Ellie. There are more immune people than just Ellie in the world. Anyone can die and anything can happen in a situation such as that.
