I'm not saying the Pokemon bundle will have the same effect, as the give away, i just think it will be enough to stop mario's legs.

Why would it stop Mario's legs? It might help Pokemon's legs a little, maybe. But the point I'm actually making is that 3D Land will have a lot more digital sales than it's given credit for, because there's no way to track claims of the 3D Land deal (other than internally by Nintendo). The Pokemon bundle, on the other hand, will be tracked because it comes pre-installed, and thus it can be easily tracked. Pre-installed numbers will presumably be tracked by VGChartz, whereas digital download deals can't be tracked.

Well... Technically, according to vgchartz (unless I am reading it wrong, still a noob here), Brawl has out sold: Pokémon Platinum, Pokemon Black / White 2, and Pokémon Heart Gold / Soul Silver on the DS... But I suppose you do have a point with the audience thing.

wow look at those Mario 3D land sales and these don't even include digital ones. I'm sure it's licking the 10m by now and will be the best selling 3D Mario yet

not sure about it but it looks possible unless MK sells over 17-18m as I'm sure Pokemon will reach that once Z comes out

I look for mario kart 7 to have a big 1st quater of 2014, pokemon x and y as well but, mario kart is a game that has a huge broad audience anyone can play it and have fun, whereas pokemon is a rpg with a more limited fanbase. With that said i think both games will top 13 million in their lifetime but mario kart 7 will prolly get the edge by a million or so.

#1 You cant say that, your going to eat your own words, im not saying it'll sell 10mil+ on 3DS but their are plenty of games that swtched (handheld~console) and got plenty of sales if not more than where it originally came from!

Most of the time it never does (go up) as show in lots of games but lets not forget LM2 that sold over 3mil in its first year (its currently alot higher) and will outsell its homeconsole counterpart with its 3.6mil sales.

But there are some games that people are in denial that think it'll sell great (as good or better) by switching from HH to consoles or vise versa (pokemon for an example will never sell even half of wat it would do on home console vs its HH counterpart)

That said SSB can surprise us as it is a WildCard! Im getting 3 copies of SSB for 3DS (2 at launch) with 1 copy of SSB for WiiU! Why? Cuz its a game thats worth it playing with your friends (in my case my bro+sis) and that right there will happen alot do it being on HH. It can go anywhere from as low as 2mil or as high as 8mil! we dont kno cuz its never happened before!!!

In pokemon there are 3 types of games (mainline)

New Gen Pair= Biggest in sales and are the games introducing the new generation with many changes+Additional Pokemon+New Region+Etc

Director's Cut= The third version of a game from the spinoffs. Introduces New Tutor Moves+Adds lots of extra Content+New Formes of Pokemon+The better version of the original pair(BW2 was different as it had a new story+extra feats in it)

Remakes= Even if they are remakes they are far surperior than their original counterparts due to what system it was originally on. These arent just your typical remakes, they beef up everything in it, making them feel like new games as well as a remake!

New Gen Pair= (15mil+ Sales) R/G/B+G/S+R/S+D/P+B/W+X/Y (6 games)

Directors Cut= (6.5mil-9mil) Yellow+Crstal+Emerald+Platinum+BW2 (5 games) [Yellow sold 14mil but it was a one time thing]

Remakes= (10.5mil-12mil) FireRed/LeafGreen+HeartGold/SoulSilver (2 games)

3DS will have a Ruby/Sapphire Remake and it'll sell less than the others but still do really well. Pokemon XY will sell over at least 14mil
