No. Mario games have better legs.

Both Mario games only managed to sell just over 1million this year, and it will continue to decline.

While Pokemon managed to catch up and will outsell it, in 2 months.

I think it's pretty much impossible for any mario game to overtake pokemon xy at this point.

Ever? I don't think so. For some time? Totally possible, but Mario Kart 7 should be the best ever. If not, another game that hasn't been released.

Mario Kart 7 dropped by 54% this year and will drop only more, there is no way it could catch up, unless it get's mass bundled.

I'll never underestimate Mario. Pokémon will be the best selling game for some time, but I bet a Mario game is gonna surpass it (it probably hasn't even been released yet).

I think the next pokemon (not Z) might outsell it.

Pokemon XY or other Pokemon games.

It will reach 10 million first, and maybe overall.

But Mario legs dude. Look at Mario Kart DS vs Diamond and Pearl.

Pokemon sold over 8 million in it's peak and dropped really hard. Mario Kart on the other hand sold for 6 straight years over 1 million, 5 years over 2.5 million.
