Yes, but Metroid is abit the Nintendo Halo en Halo is abit the XBox Metroid if you compair the exclusives. 

I love both series, but Metroid is slightly better. It has a higher number of great games.

Both are all-time great franchises, though.

I'm a Nintendo guy so I've played every Metroid except Metroid Pinball. I also like Halo so I've played every Halo game except....well damn. I think I've played every Halo.

Since FPS games aren't my favorite genre at all, I gotta go with the boobs. I'd take Other M over the entire Halo franchise if that says anything. Metroid ftw.

The Halo series is my preferred option. And actually not for the competitive multiplayer aspect, which I have grown to hate over the years. The marine interactions, large variety (and often scale) in combat and excellent story simply makes the games more memorable and replayable than exploring cleverly designed areas and defeat puzzle bosses.


In any case though, I think comparing the two is kind of like comparing ice cream with pizza. Both franchises are great and have their unique qualities.

No, Halo is the Mario of Xbox. Without the 200+ games. But the Universe and Lore goes way deeper than just games.

Well, one is a shooter and the other is an action/adventure, and I like action/adventure games far more than shooters, so I'll go with Metroid for $1000.
