Forums - General - Signs of a extreme Fan-boy!

Lets see if you can spot the signs of an undercover fanboy.
(and I mean the extreme undercover fanboys, nothing wrong with having console preference and supporting the companies you feel make the best games.

Signs

- They love lists, they list games for or against a system in their favour e.g UNCHARTED, TLOU, Beyond, heavy rain, little big planet, Gran turismo, God of War

- If they are insulting a console, they tend to say something along the lines of 'I have a xbox one but...' (They probably don't have an xbox one)

- Multiple replies (They have to feel they 'won' the argument or the point put across, so they will reply to all/most comments @ them until they are the last to reply.

- They point out the bad things in a good thing (e.g PS Plus is good but you can't keep the games and that sucks, Gr33dy)

- Like to generalise a wider audience down to their friends (e.g Wii U is so unpopular in the UK, I asked a few of my friends and they didn't know what it even was)

- Likes to use words like money hatting and greedy. (I mean god forbid the day a company listed on the stock market wants to earn money!)

- Resorts to gramatical correction and insults if no respondant argument can be put forth. (*their - god xbots are so dumb)

- Mentions Xbox Live is filled with 8 year olds - or psn is filled with asians.

- Claims an unreleased feature (that they have no-idea about) will be the winning or losing factor with useless stats (e.g watch cloud is gonna make cod look 20x better on xone you know it means unlimited graphics potential)

- ANY MORE ?

I LIKE LISTS TOO DAMMIT! (Can i say that?)

Hmm i dont necessarily mean on this site but hmm....

I like your "signs" list, spot on.

Op calls people who makes lists a fanboy.

OP makes list.

Lol, jk, I have no idea who you are op xD

Perhaps not "extreme", but the first thing to come to mind is when certain fans cherry-pick data, bringing up news or numbers for consoles of a certain brand while conveniently ignoring any negative news surrounding their console of choice. I've noticed a few people that rarely post on threads, and only post negative news for a specific game brand. I suppose they have the freedom to post whatever they like, but it still colors those posters in an obvious light.

I've also seen separate groups that seem to take on some odd moral responsibility to downplay any positive news surrounding two nameless struggling systems on this site. Again, I guess people have the freedom to discuss what they want, but you have to wonder why these posters seem so adamant that no one can post anything positive on these systems. Realism is one thing, but after seeing a group of these exact same posters in every thread, it seems to me that there's an obvious agenda.

I own a 3DS, but I like the Vita better.

I admit that I'm a Sony fanboy when it comes to consoles, and a Nintendo fanboy when it comes to handhelds.

They probably own only one console... and there is nothing wrong with that

Some of them prefer games against your favorite console....

Some people don't have a full time job

- They point out the bad things in a good thing (e.g PS Plus is good but you can't keep the games and that sucks, Gr33dy)

Some people are honest and like to point out obvious stuff...

- Like to generalise a wider audience down to their friends (e.g Wii U is so unpopular in the UK, I asked a few of my friends and they didn't know what it even was)

Some people don't have friends to ask.... and no, skype friends or whatever does not count...
