Dragon Quests always goes to the most popular console in Japan, if the PS4 is a big hit then I could see it getting DQXI. Or they could just continue working on the 3DS. I'm fine with either console getting it, as long as it gets ported over.

Or the company that will generate more revenue depending on where they want the game.  You don't see Final Fantasy 15 or Kingdom Hearts 3 on the Wii U do you?  Don't you think Nintendo would rather pay for those titles as exclusives than a series that is only really popular in Japan?  I mean they've already paid for Monster Hunter so they've got Japan on lockdown. 

If Square Enix keeps the main franchise portable, then Dragon Quest 11 is going to be exclusive to the 3DS.  If they move it back to consoles, it'll more than likely be on the PS360 multiconsole or the PS4 if they're doing next gen.  I'm pretty confident that it won't be on the Wii U regardless of their decision.

im thinking 3ds just like 9 was I dont think they would make it for wii U not with that install base. Hell if they do a console version i would be surprised if its on PS4 or 3

At this point anything other than 3DS would be a surprise to me. There was a DQ on 3DS in 2012, in 2013, and there'll be another in 2014. If XI isn't going to be on smartphones, I have a hard time imagining it releasing on anything else.

That anyone would even consider this a possibility speaks volumes for how low the DQ series has sunk.
