I loved Resi 4, but that game was the start of Resident evil morphing into a more action oriented game. I think Remake is the finest Resi game, genuinely scary stuff.

Eternal Darkness

While Resident Evil 4 was the turning point in the series into a more action-oriented franchise, it is still probably my favorite survival horror game on a Nintendo console. If there was ever a Zenimax/Bethesda title that Nintendo needs to court for the Wii U, I think it's The Evil Within/Psychobreak.

Resident Evil (Remake) for GCN

Resident Evil 4 and Eternal Darkness. I think the Metroid series deserves some credit, though it may not be a horror series it is dark and dreadful

Killer 7 all the way. if not accepted as survival
then i would say REmake

Resident Evil 0 for sure.

I'd also like to mention Ju-On: The Grudge for Wii. Though it had beyond horrible controls it was scary as fuck (for me at least)

I gotta say REmake for the gamecube or Resident Evil Zero. If Resident Evil 4 wii edition is considered survival horror that certainly takes the cake.
