Sony tends to cast a wide net on what they make and market so it is not a surprise to me they have some measure of success in every market all around the world.

PS3 was still outsold worldwide by 360 though. That despite basically having Japan to itself.

Not sure any market Sony really does well in right except Japan itself (where they tend to be biased towards often inferior Japanese products, EG, Xperia phones outsell superior iphones, Samsung's, only in Japan)) for CE products.

As of now PS3 has outsold 360 despite being released a year later.

Sony does well in Europe, Asia, and "rest of the world" categories. North America was only place they faltered with PS3.
